Were you at Beef Australia this year? Here's a wrap up of our highlights from this week-long extravaganza.

A Beefy Welcome
Recently, we had the honour of sponsoring one of the biggest events on the cattle industry calendar, Beef Australia 2021. We were positioned in the Walter Pierce Pavilion, and hence welcomed plenty of delegates as they entered the grounds alongside our CEO Peter Richardson. From here, MaiaGrazing customers new and old, and livestock producers from all corners of Australia, came together to discuss the merits of grazing management, regenerative agriculture and soil carbon.[caption id="attachment_4449" align="aligncenter" width="455"]

And what a rewarding exchange it was! Our visitors learnt about how good grazing management equates to profitability. Meanwhile, we gained more insight into how to solve their grazing challenges better. We also had the pleasure of showcasing MaiaGrazing. Furthermore, our team mates, Victoria Lawrence and Andy Rudd worked hard to show delegates how they too can remove the risk of overstocking or understocking with our solution.
The Magic of Grazing Management
Amongst all this, we enjoyed learning from the range of talks and seminars that were held throughout the week. The two that stood for us were the sold-out RCS seminar featuring MaiaGrazing customers: Maddy & Hugh Pursehouse and Jess & John Bidgood, and the Microsoft talk on sustainability presented by David Halpern.[caption id="attachment_4450" align="aligncenter" width="471"]

The spike in interest on soil carbon was encouraging. That's because it gave us the opportunity to share insights on how beneficial soil carbon really is beyond the supplementary income that it can provide.
On Tuesday, our team set out to participate in two field days sponsored by Westpac. They were located at the bountiful properties of our customers, Tingle Hill (Jess & John Bidgood) and Mystery Park (Ainsley & Rob MacArthur). The magic of seeing healthy livestock grazing against a backdrop of verdant pastures is testament to the skills of its managers. Hence, we’re so proud that our solution plays a part in enabling this.
Joy all around
However, it wasn’t all work and no play. To that end, we hosted a VIP dinner. It was a three-course meal championing red meat that finished with a spot of culture courtesy of Opera Australia. What a delicious night it was! Thanks to celebrity chefs Matt Moran and Dominique Rizzo, and their attentive service team, for the gastronomic delights.
Last but not least, we celebrated the launch of Red Meat, Green Facts – a new producer pocket guide that Meat & Livestock (MLA) CEO, Jason Strong, launched on Wednesday evening. We also rubbed shoulders with the RCS community of graziers who shares our common vision to improve the way we farm. Congratulations are in order for our friends who launched public trials for the Farmbot Camera at the event.
Tongue twister winners
We ran a fun tongue twister at our booth, and two winners pictured below were picked for tying in at six seconds to complete it. Congratulations for winning an RCS Grazing Clinic each! Please send us a note on [email protected] to claim your prize.
Win a RCS Grazing Clinic!
